Freelance Remote

We're looking for a freelance Shopify developer to help us out on several projects over the next few months, and in the near future, to convert an animation-heavy WordPress website compeltely to Shopify.

We'd love to hear from developers who have built multiple Shopify sites and are used to working with agencies. You'll be working with our creative team during initial concepting to provide developer feedback on the designs, helping to scope development, then building the full site in line with our development guidelines alongside our lead developer.

You'll need to be available at least twice a week for meetings in the morning (PST), as well as being available daily on Slack. You'll be working with a team of people based in California, Minnesota, Texas & Finland.

  • At least 4 years working with Shopify
  • Knowledge of Online Store 2.0 and using Shopify as a full CMS (not just for ecommerce)
  • Proficient in Tailwind, Shopify theme development integrated with a git repository & hand-coding Liquid
  • Ability to work within WCAG 2.1 (AA) accessibility standards
  • Building full Shopify sites from the ground up, not just adding to themes
  • Ability to translate designs into responsive, well written markup
  • Skilled with animations beyond just fade-ins. The site we're working on will have elements such as spinning bottles, elements changing position based on scroll, and video content
  • Your own website with a portfolio
  • Located in the United States or western Europe
  • Familiarity with Shopify webhooks and APIs
  • Fluent English
  • Must have video on during our intial calls

We do fixed cost estimates with our developers in advance, and pay up to $650/day.

We're interested in talking to freelancers only - no agencies or recruiters please.
