Freelance Role: Paid Social / Digital Media Specialist (Meta Focus)

Contract | Part-Time to Full-Time (Flexible) | Immediate Start

We’re looking for a freelance Paid Social / Digital Media Specialist to support our team over the next few months while one of our team members is on maternity leave. With the possibility of a long term relationship to follow. 

This role is primarily focused on execution and optimization across paid social campaigns, with a strong emphasis on Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

This could be:

  • One person up to ~40 hrs/week
  • Or multiple freelancers supporting across accounts

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be stepping into an existing set of active client accounts and helping maintain and optimize ongoing campaigns.

This includes:

  • Building and launching paid social campaigns (primarily Meta)
  • Managing budgets, pacing, and audience targeting
  • Ongoing optimization and performance tuning
  • QA and campaign troubleshooting
  • Supporting regular reporting and performance analysis
  • Light strategic input where helpful, but not required

You’ll be working across ~10 active client accounts, with varying levels of complexity. Most campaign strategies are already established — the focus is on clean execution and performance management.

 

Platforms & Experience

Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager
  • Comfortable managing multiple campaigns and accounts at once
  • Experience with campaign builds, optimization, and QA
  • Ability to read performance data and make practical adjustments

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Instacart Ads
  • Familiarity with programmatic DSPs (StackAdapt preferred)
  • Experience across additional paid social platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Detail-oriented and reliable — you catch things before they break
  • Comfortable working within existing systems and workflows
  • Able to manage multiple accounts without things slipping
  • Clear communicator, especially in async environments
  • Low ego, high ownership — someone who just gets the work done well

This is not a “big ideas” role — it’s a high-quality execution role that keeps campaigns running smoothly and performing well.

  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: ~2–4 months (with potential extension)
  • Hours: Flexible (part-time to full-time depending on fit)
  • Remote
